Prayer is powerful. Lifting a person up to God's love and light is a sacred act of love. Holding that person in our hearts and prayers and asking God for the highest good to be done not only brings comfort and peace to those in need, but it also feeds the prayer partner's inner spirit and fills us with joy and compassion.
Prayer Request
The Kaleidoscope Prayer Care Program is open to anyone in the community whether they are members of Kaleidoscope or not. If you or someone you know is in need of prayer (cancer, or any other reason), send an email to prayer@kaleidoscopehope.org. Include the name of the person in need of prayer, the situation they are in, and what you want to the focus of the prayer to be. Please contact the person for permission to put their name on Kaleidoscope's prayer list before you make the prayer request. First names are used unless there is a request to include the last name. The email request will be passed on to the prayer partners who will pray for the person when they get the request. If possible, an update on the situation at some point is appreciated, and will be sent to the prayer partners.
Prayer Partners
If you want to be a prayer partner, send a request to the prayer email above asking to be put on the prayer partner list. Give your name and email address, and your phone number if you are comfortable giving it out. You name will be put on the prayer partner email list and you will receive requests via email. Requests are sent as quickly as possible - usually a few a week. Pray however if feels right for you. You can pray once for someone and be done; you can pray many times during a day; you can keep a list of people and pray at a specific time each day. It can take less than a minute to pray for someone your you can spend more time.
